Natalia Black comes from Martin, Slovakia where she was born in 1973. After studying to be an Art and English Language Teacher at Comenius University in Bratislava, she followed her then husband to Paris (1999), London (2000) and eventually Northern Ireland (2001). There she fell in love with the crushing waves of the North Atlantic and developed her unique way of painting. In 2003 she had her first solo exhibition in the Mullan Gallery in Belfast. Since then she has been asked to exhibit all over Ireland and the UK as well as further a field: USA, Holland, Iceland and Switzerland. She is an associate member of the RUA but her biggest achievements are that children like her work and a long-term support and relationship with Fenderesky Gallery in Belfast.
